The Core Years 3 and 4 classes will begin the year by investigating the topic of "Our Hair," its growth and change, purpose and different forms.
The Core Year 5 group will firstly look at activities to encourage "thinking outside the square." They will then take part in the Transpower Competition, working with an engineer on a project that has yet to be decided.
The Core Year 6 group will be busy investigating problems set by the NZ Problem Solving Programme. The first topic for the year is "All in a Day's Work," looking at the effects of technology and globalisation. (For more information see fpsnz.co.nz).
The Philosophy groups will continue to discuss big questions, such as friendship and honesty.
